Within the calendar month of your purchase we will make a donation to SEETurtles.org for a minimum of 5 baby sea turtles. Check our website regularly to watch the number of sea turtles saved increase every month.
Would would you like to save more baby sea turtles with no additional purchase? We would! We will match your initial 5 baby sea turtles saved with 5 more if you will do the following:
1. Fill out the sign up below to be a TORTUGA WARRIOR and receive special promotions, our newsletter and to save extra sea turtles. To do so, fill in your complete contact information and in the subject line write "I SAVED 5 BABY SEA TURTLES!". In the body of your message write what you purchased and what you like about it how many stars out of 5 you would give it.
2. Safely go to a body of water or a drainage to a body of water (especially river banks or dry river beds! 98% of the garbage that chokes sea turtles makes its way to the ocean through river systems) and get a photograph or video of your self and friends picking up garbage while holding our following logo.

3. Estimate the weight of the garbage picked up.
4. Post the photo or video (and mention the amount of garbage picked up) to your social media outlets and tag us @tortugasea1 using hashtag #Tortugawarriors.
5. When we are notified and verify your tag, we will donate an additional 5 baby sea turtles to be saved!!!
You will not only be saving more baby sea turtles, but by picking up garbage you will be saving their Moms and Dads too!
3 realities of plastic

1
Plastics migrate to the ocean
Even waterways thousands of miles away from the ocean will funnel all trash on the banks or in the water to the ocean. The vast majority of the plastic in the ocean has flowed through a river before entering the ocean.
2
Plastics are commonly mistaken for food
Many adult sea turtles have been found starving to death with full stomachs. Unfortunately they are not full of food, but are full of plastic, which signals to the brain that they do not need to hunt. They languish and die. Here is an image of plastic found to be ingested by a single Pacific sea turtle.

Helping wherever you are
If we each take even the smallest action no matter the distance from the ocean, we will together have huge effects in lessoning the negative impacts that plastics are having in the environment. We will save sea turtles!
